This song is collaboration with writer Derek McCulloch who's daughter had gone to the same elementary school as my son.
We had the idea of getting our kids into the recording studio sooner than later. As the music was coming together, my son Alexander started singing a melody he came up with while checking out Derek's lyrics.
We rehearsed it a bit and then tracked it soon after.
Alexander ended up getting his vocal in two takes which set things in motion for the rest of the track.
(a proud Dad moment right here:)

Derek's daughter Pearl and his wife Tara can be heard here on the backing vocals as well.
This song is all family.
