Sweet Time was recorded in 2002 in Missoula Mt, while cutting drum tracks for Jeff Ament's solo record Tone.
I was listening to Lightnin' Hopkins and the Verve for some unexplained reason and this song took form.
While Jeff went into town to pick up a take out lunch, I tracked guitar, drums and rough vocals while he was gone.
When he returned, he laid down an extra acoustic guitar and bass in no time at all...and it was sweet!

While this unfinished song sat on the shelf for awhile, I decided to dust it off with a layer of Mellotron and some sweet backwards/lead guitar by Neal Walter.
